FAQ
Customer Frequently Asked Questions, Answered!
1. What’s the shelf life of coffee?
Coffee is an agricultural product at its core and, although coffee does not spoil, the quality of your coffee will diminish over time. We recommend using freshly roasted coffee within 4 to 6 weeks of its roasted date; however, we have enjoyed the freshness of our coffee for up to 90 days.
2. Are your products ethically sourced?
As regular, hardcore coffee drinkers, and understanding the importance of the environment and sustainability, we are committed to ensuring all of our coffee selections are provided ethically from the field to your cup. As sustainable and ethically sourced products means paying a price that provides a standard of living for the small or micro-lot farmers, we take pride in being able to support small farmers through fair trade as we are most grateful and appreciative of the quality their products produce.
3. Are there any added sweeteners or flavoring in your coffee?
No added sweeteners. No added calories. As specialty grade coffee has a unique natural flavor tasting profile that is characteristic to their respective region and coffee origin – which includes their terrain, soil, climate, elevation meters or feet, and the processing method used – are all factors in determining their natural flavor notes. The natural flavor notes or tasting profile and body refers to the bitterness, sweetness, citrusy, acidity, and/or smoothness and finish of that particular origin’s characteristics. Keep in mind that different brewing methods, such as using a French Press or the Pour Over method, will extract different flavor notes as well. In terms of our Classic Flavored coffee selection, you will find natural and artificial flavoring as each freshly roasted specialty grade beans are carefully flavored with high-quality flavored oils while the batch is still warm.
4. When will I receive my order?
Orders are roasted custom to your order, so please allow 2-3 business days for order processing. Once your order is roasted, it is shipped the same day for whole bean coffee orders. As freshly roasted coffee beans are at its optimal flavor extraction for best brewing within 5-10 days after roasting, once you receive your coffee, it will be at the best brew time! If you selected the Ground grind, please allow an extra 12-24 hours for degassing before your order is shipped. You can expect to receive your order within 3-7 business days after it has been shipped. Please expect delays in shipping during holiday season or special events. We do not process or ship international orders at this time. See Shipping details for more.
5. What’s your refund policy?
As coffee is an agricultural product at its core and falls under perishable products, we cannot accept returns on any roasted coffee orders. However, if there are errors in your order; or you were shipped an incorrect item; or items are missing from your order; or if your order arrives damaged during shipping, please contact us immediately at support@shoproastedcoffee.com so we can begin the claims process.
If for any reason, you are not satisfied with your brew accessories or merchandise purchase only, please contact our Support Team within 30 days from the date you receive your order. Your unwanted item(s) must be returned to Roasted | The Coffee Bar Co. to initiate a refund or exchange. All returned accessories, merchandise, or apparel must be in its original packaging and must be unused before a refund or exchange can be processed. Contact us to receive an RAC (return authorization code) to begin the process. Learn more.
6. How often will I receive my coffee when I subscribe?
When you select to subscribe to our subscription service, you will choose your preferred delivery schedule. You can select to receive your subscription coffee once every two (2) weeks, once per month (every 30 days), once every two (2) months (every 60 days), or once every three (3) months (every 90 days). 7. What is your bestselling coffee?
I suppose we may be a little bias but we have enjoyed all of the coffee single origins and flavored coffee we offer; however, some of the top sellers & customer choice include:
8. What does the different Grinds mean and how do I select the right one?
Selecting the appropriate grind depends on the brewing system or equipment you decide to use. If you are using a traditional standard Drip method than you can select the Whole Bean or Ground grind. If you select the whole bean, please keep in mind that you will need a grinder to grind your beans into a ground coffee in order to brew.
If you are using a French Press, it would be recommended to use a Coarse grind as the Standard Ground or Espresso Ground grind would be too fine for the French Press machine.
If you want a consistent and café latte form with a dark rich taste, you may want to select the Espresso grind. Having the Espresso Accessories will have you brewing like the pros!
